"God disposed man and woman for each other so that they might be "no longer two but one" (Mt 19:6). In this way they are to live in love, be fruitful, and thus become a sign of God himself, who is nothing but overflowing love. The Sacrament of Matrimony comes about through a promise made by a man and a woman before God and the Church, which is accepted and confirmed by God and consummated by the bodily union of the couple, because God himself forms the bond of sacramental marriage." - YOUCAT #260-261
Getting married in the Church
To marry in our Church, please see a priest at least one year prior to the wedding to confirm his availability to celebrate the wedding BEFORE BOOKING THE CHURCH. Couples have to complete at least one of the preparation courses in order to get married:
“Weddings at St Ignatius”, leaflets on the “Marriage Preparation Course” and “Engaged Encounter” are available at the Parish Office.
Note: All application forms are NOT confirmed until applicants receive explicit confirmation from the Parish.
Please contact us if you do not receive your reply within a week as your e-mail may have gone astray or your application may have been inadvertently overlooked. Thank you. God bless.
